Weihang Ren
I am a fourth-year Ph.D. candidate in Industry and Systems Engineering at the University of Florida, supported by a competitive fellowship. My research addresses decision-making under uncertainty, with a foucs on developing algorithms to enhance the reliability, resilience, and transparency of power systems.
At UF, I am fortunate to be advised by Yongpei Guan. Since the summer of 2023, I have also been interning at Argonne National Laboratory alongside Feng Qiu and Álinson Santos Xavier. Previously, I earned an M.S. in Operations Research from Columbia University, where I was advised by Yuri Faenza on algorithms for matching markets, and a B.Econ. in Finance from Sun Yat-sen University, where I worked with Xianbo Zhou on empirical econometric analyses of small and midsized business in China.
